Doing This Will Not Help You Reduce Bruising!

Hello Again,

Today we’re going to begin looking at a few drugs that are prescribed for us which may cause or increase our tendency to bruise easily.  As we examine these drugs, we’ll look for possible alternatives to help us overcome this new cause of easy bruising.

No one likes to walk around with large bruises on their arms or legs, but if you are currently taking the drug known as Plavix, that might be the exact situation that you are dealing with.  Plavix is a drug that highly recommended for a variety of different conditions, but one thing that people who are taking this drug frequently note is that it is a drug that can quickly cause them to be subject to severe bruising.  While they may not doing anything differently than before Plavix was prescribed, they now find that normal or routine contact or bumps during their day-to-day life will subject them to large bruises, often with a hard center.  Though these bruises do not really cause any medical harm, they are irritating, ugly, and we certainly want to know what is taking place.

In the first place, we need to understand what Plavix is and what it is designed to do.  This drug is essentially an anti-coagulant.  It is meant to prevent our blood from clotting, and it is often used to help people who have had a recent heart attack or a stroke and who have a greater chance of developing powerful blood clots.   It is also occasionally used for people who have certain heart or blood vessels conditions.  While the bruising is a recognized side effect of this drug, it is usually considered an acceptable trade-off because the bruising is often only a visual issue.

The way that Plavix helps our body prevent dangerous blood clots is through the thinning of our blood.  If the blood is thinner, it is going to be much less likely to clot, but this is also the reason that we will tend to bruise more easily.  When we are using Plavix, and we end up bruising more than you think we should, we will learn that we are not doing any real damage to our body.  We are bumping into things and the resulting minor injury to the blood vessels does cause a little bit of bleeding just beneath the skin.  However, if our blood is thinned and not clotting, it will flow much more readily and the resultant bruise that forms is likely to be much more visible and dramatic than before we began taking Plavix.

When we are looking for a means to mitigate the bruising effects of Plavix, there are a number of things that we should keep in mind.  First, we should make sure that we speak with our physician to see if there are any prescription or over the counter alternatives to Plavix.  Some people will note that the bruises will tend to come and go, depending on the concentration or dosage of the drug in our body, while other people will choose to try to increase vitamin K levels in their diet, which can help strengthen blood vessels, but at the cost of enhancing the blood’s ability to clot.

When you are looking for a great way to move forward and to overcome our bruising easily, don’t forget that you don’t have to treat bruising only after bruises appear.  You should all be fully aware of the unique, daily, all natural supplement program from Bruises Be Banned which can help us reduce bruising easily or actually prevent bruising altogether.
