Is There a Relationship Between Easy Bruising and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome?

Warning, This Will Not Help You Prevent Bruising!

Hello Again:

When we notice notice that we seem to develop new bruises every day, ones that appear very dark even though we can’t remember where they came from, we will likely determine that it is the right time for us to evaluate what the bruising causes might be.  Of course we don’t want to jump to the conclusion that some serious condition is indicated by our easy bruising, because chances are good that we’re simply suffering from bruising easily caused by normal aging.  One of the common disorders that has been linked to easy bruising is Ehlers- Danlos syndrome, so we should do some research on this condition.

We have become familiar with blood clotting diseases and disorders that can lead to easy bruising, but were you aware that connective tissue disorders could lead to it as well?  When we are looking at the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, we are looking at a group of connective tissue diseases that will manifest in places like the ligaments and the joints, the blood vessels and the internal organs.  These are largely considered inherited disorders, and most of them are caused by mutations in the genes that will lead to issues with fibrillar collagens (easy for you to say).

When examining the Ehlers-Danlos syndromes, we need to recognize that there are many symptoms that can point to them, including things like hyper mobility, skin that is easily stretched, and fragile tissues.  When looking at the range of different conditions that fall under the blanket term of Ehlers-Danlos, we will find that there are six specific types altogether.  These include classical, vascular, kyphoscoliosis, hyper mobility, arthrochalasia and dermatosparaxis (say those last four quickly three times in a row).

For each of these variations, bruising is something that can act as a warning sign, thanks to the presence of the increased fragility of the tissues which leads to more damage.   Treatment of this syndrome will include things like skin protection and joint protection along with strengthening exercises.  In the majority of cases, it is thought that about 90% of people who have this condition are not aware of it until an emergency situation occurs requiring urgent medical attention.

When we are searching for a reason why continue to bruise, it is important to think about the signs that our body is giving us.  There are numerous reasons why we should consider consulting with our doctor about this disorder, especially if you think that one of your parents might have had it.

Once we are certain that our easy bruising is not caused by some serious condition like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, it’s the perfect time to take a thorough look at a daily supplement program like Bruises Be Banned, which is a uniquely formulated, all natural treatment program to help reduce bruising or prevent bruising altogether.
